So I'm feeling really contrary about writing right now and want to write nothing but, like, light-hearted fluffy entertainment until the end of time just to protest against the idea that something else is preferable. XD;;; Also I don't want to do any of the things I should be doing (cleaning, appointment-making, fic challenges) so. Perfect opportunity to, um, steal an idea from
unrequitedangst from a while back -- give me an AU prompt and I'll write you a snippet for it. Offer good for the rest of the day or until I actually decide to be productive; author reserves the right to refuse Koki/Kame any unreasonable request.
hit me.
edit: results so far:
evil team kat-tun from
lazulisong's legendary sparkling rainbow storm rangers 'verse
kimi wa petto: akame remix, or jin-inna-box
lady and the tramp, only cats -- okay you should really read the prompt for this one

Date: 2008-07-03 07:42 pm (UTC)It was always a bad sign when one’s work bled over into the rest of one’s life, Ueda thought as he watched Kamenashi and Akanishi icily ignore each other on the tape of the day’s television appearances. Even the hosts noticed; one of the comedians on SAY! SAY! SAY! asked if Kamenashi hadn’t yet heard that Akanishi was back from his hiatus in America. The tape showed five of them, including Kamenashi, laughing along only slightly stiffly. Akanishi managed a perfunctory smile and nothing else. Considering the six months he’d supposedly taken off to learn English in America had actually been spent in a regenerative cryotube, it wasn’t particularly surprising.
No one said anything for a few moments after the tape had ended.
"Well," Nakamaru said uneasily. "That went... okay." Taguchi, not so subtly eyeing the game controller cord snaking temptingly from under the massive briefing flat-screen, smiled absently and agreeably.
Koki snorted loudly.
Nakamaru was too even-tempered to take the bait but Kamenashi wasn't. "I'm sorry," he said, all smiling politeness, "I couldn't hear you, Koki, what was that?"
Koki rolled his eyes and made a derisive sound under his breath. Kamenashi’s lips pressed into a thin line.
Akanishi, who was sprawled sullenly on the couch in the back of the room, continued to pretend he hadn't heard a thing.
Nakamaru tried again. "Maybe we should talk about our mission instead," he said. "Has anyone gotten any more intelligence on the identities of the – " he paused to consult a sheaf of paper – "Rainbow Storm Rangers?" His brow wrinkled. "Is that really their name?"
"It's better than cartoon," Koki couldn't help contributing, to which Kamenashi replied tightly, "It's KAT-TUN, for our names – "
He stopped talking so abruptly it was as if he'd never started when Akanishi stood up. Akanishi took as much notice of Kamenashi – of the rest of them, for that matter – as he had on television as he sauntered across the room, hands jammed in his pockets, an image entirely negated by the tension radiating from his shoulders. Akanishi had never been aware of how much he gave away through body language.
"Akanishi," Nakamaru began.
"Pi needs an upgrade," Akanishi said without turning around and disappeared through the door.
Not for the first time, Ueda began to consider developing some sort of contingency plan.
