The door opened almost as soon as Kame rang the bell. "Kame?" Jin said, puzzled.

"What the hell are you thinking, Akanishi?" Kame hissed.

Jin took a guilty step backward. "Oh, uh, right, I meant to – "

"Shut up and let me talk," Kame said fiercely, pushing past Jin into his apartment and whirling around to face him. "You told us you needed a rest or you were going to get burned out. You said you were going to take a break for your health. You didn't say you were going to fucking America!"

"Kame – "

"And what do you mean,'language study'?" Kame continued relentlessly. "If you're really getting sick, fine, take a break. It won't do KAT-TUN any good if you kill yourself. But you're, you're taking an English vacation! Why can't you just go to a language school like everyone else?"

"Kame," Jin said again, approaching him tentatively. "I'm sorry, Kame."

Kame glared at him, fists clenched tightly at his sides. "Yeah, well," he muttered, "you'll be sorrier when you get there."

"Maybe," Jin said. "But I have to try it anyway."

"No one will remember you when you come back," Kame said. "I'll be way more popular. You won't get any roles."

"That'll hardly be any different than it is now, will it?" Jin said dryly.

"I can't compete with you if you're not here!" Kame exclaimed in frustration. To his complete and utter mortification, he heard his voice crack.

Slowly, avoiding any sudden movement, Jin reached out and took hold of one of Kame's balled-up fists, gently pulling Kame toward him and wrapping his arms loosely around Kame's waist. Kame remained stiff.

"You can come visit me," Jin said in his ear. "We can go to the beach. It'll be fun."

"If you wanted to go to the beach you could go to Okinawa," Kame said stubbornly.

"Then I'll introduce you to all the celebrities I'll know," Jin said, bringing a hand up to stroke the line of Kame's back. "I hear they're everywhere in L.A."

A sound that could almost have been a laugh escaped Kame's lips. "And why wouldn't they want to make friends with you, right?"

He could hear the smile in Jin's voice. "Right," Jin said. "I'll be hot and exotic."

"You're not going to be 'exotic' in L.A., Jin," Kame said, rolling his eyes. After a moment, he gave in and rested his head on Jin's shoulder.

Jin tightened his arms. "So you'll come and visit me? Right?"

"I'll probably be really busy," Kame said, hands creeping up to go around Jin's waist. "I probably won't have enough days off to fly all the way to America."

"I guess I'll just have to keep hoping," Jin said. It sounded like he was still smiling.

Kame turned his face into Jin's shoulder and wondered how much a ticket to L.A. cost.

This was definitely one of the things Japan had over L.A., Jin thought as he dragged his tongue down the line of Kame's stomach, gripping Kame's hips hard enough that he had a feeling there'd be a bruise the next morning. It wasn't his fault – he hadn't seen Kame in months, and although he didn't suffer for lack of interested parties here, it wasn't quite the same.

Kame let out a sharp hiss and the hand he had in Jin's hair tightened. He nudged Jin's head downward, but Jin ignored the hint, instead spending a good long time lavishing attention on the flat blades of Kame's hipbones. "Jin," Kame said through his teeth, with just enough of a hint of an underlying plea for Jin to acquiesce, pressing one last kiss against the mark he'd left on Kame's hip and trailing his mouth across Kame's upper thigh. Then he paused, slid his lips just over the head of Kame's cock, and glanced up, unable to contain a wide, mischievous grin.

"I swear I will kill you," Kame threatened, except with a hitch in his voice, and Jin was gone enough to find that cute.

Jin was feeling generous, since Kame had come all the way to L.A., after all, so he went down all the way, feeling a thrill of pleasure at Kame's shudders and the uneven little catches of his breath. He took his time, grinning at Kame's orders to hurry, hurry, fucking hurry up, Jin! but refused to change his pace, enjoying himself, dragging his mouth slowly up Kame's cock until finally Kame made the little choked sound he always did right beforehand and came.

Kame slumped back against the wall, breathing hard, and Jin sat back on his heels and wiped at his mouth, grinning uncontrollably. Yeah, he'd missed this.

"Are you deaf?" Kame said finally, when he could talk again. "Or have you forgotten how to speak Japanese?"

"I'm enjoying myself," Jin said. "It's not every day you come to visit all the way from Japan. I have to make the most of it while I can."

"I'm not visiting you," Kame said, glaring at him. "I'm studying."

"Right," Jin said happily. "Just like I am." He pulled at Kame's hand until Kame gave in and sunk to the floor, where Jin could lean in and kiss him slowly and thoroughly, until Kame was making those needy little sounds in the back of his throat again. Then he pulled away and leaned his forehead against Kame's, still smiling.

"Two weeks is a lot," he said. "Thanks."

"I told you, I'm studying – "

"Let's not argue about minor details," Jin said blithely. "Why don't you kiss me again instead?"

Kame gave him a look that could have felled an elephant in its tracks, but when Jin pulled him in for another kiss, he didn't exactly resist.

Jin thought this was going to be a great vacation.
