XD;;; Also I don't want to do any of the things I should be doing (cleaning, appointment-making, fic challenges) so. Perfect opportunity to, um, steal an idea from unrequitedangst from a while back -- give me an AU prompt and I'll write you a snippet for it. What if Yamapi went on hiatus instead of Jin?

Or, if that isn't AU enough:

Jin is a rural Japanese farmer who gets assaulted by a Hindu goddess walking home and is told he has to go on an epic quest to find the most valuable treasure in the world. On his quest, he meets Pi--almost getting his head lopped off in the process (Jin, not Pi)--who agrees to accompany him because Pi doesn't think Jin can actually wander around Japan by himself without getting eaten by lions. Because there were lions in rural Japan, don'tchaknow. Yamapi is a bit of an attack-happy samurai, so really, Jin ends up getting them out of trouble more than Pi does. Whether or not they actually find the most valuable treasure in the world is up to you (but you know, some treasures aren't material items ^_~).
