"page torn out" meme

I need to write something. Taking this idea from a challenge supacat did a long time ago - prompt me with characters and as much or as little else as you like and I'll (try to) write you something that is essentially a page torn out of a longer story.

(My problem with prompts is usually a fixation on providing a full setup of some sort so ideally this will get around that problem. ...I did say "ideally".)

Ummm the classic gamut of manga and YA, probably. Studio Ghibli, DWJ, CLAMP (...at least I can try), etc. No. 6 is indeed fair game if that's what you were wondering... XD For that matter I s'pose Ze is, too.

(And a change of pace would be welcome!)
