I guess I'm too late to comment, and maybe you won't even read it, but I just had to. I found this fic by chance really and decided to read it without knowing what would enfold in front of my eyes. A hidden gem.. It is a pure beauty laced with pain and main characters with depth and subtle emotions.
I especially found it very interesting how you portrayed the coloration between the suffocating, humid climate, and their restrained bothered feelings. How that dam had broke suddenly like the rain flood (or maybe you didn't mean it like that :)) Thank you for sharing this!
