*dies* Kame the Naturalist was a little off the wall, wasn't it? At first I just wasn't sure what he was spending all his time doing sequestered in in the mountains -- his hobbies don't seem very suited for solitary ruralness, he's not really into reading or writing music or art or any of those things -- but then I figured he'd be likely to explore his surroundings in detail, so to speak, not to mention it would keep him occupied for as long as he wanted it to. :)
