So I did this tonight instead of writing. Whoops. What can I say, all those posts about Ueda on
kattunlove were making me feel guilty.

Going to see an artist live. Recently I went to a live for the first time. It was awesome. The feel of our concerts is of costume changes and dancing, right? There's a huge stage and sets. But it wasn't like that, it was songs and lighting. The quality of the lighting was incredibly high. There was no set on the stage, just the band, so the lighting was the only decoration. They really were cool. I got goosebumps several times. When I noticed, it was because I was leaning so far forward I almost fell over. Up until then I'd never seen another artist's live, so I had thought I'd go to study one. I was hoping I could absorb a few things. Far from just 'absorbing', there was almost a revolution in my thought. It became a really good stimulus. Everyone should go to different lives. Something new might come to mind. Like for me, something I want to do became clear. At the next concert, I'll be able to dazzle you with the lighting. With songs and lighting.
Speaking of things near to me, how about boxing, everyone? (laughs) I've been sparring lately, but I can't hit my opponent at all. I only get punched, and then crumble. (embarrassed smile) But that's also a kind of studying. Of course it's an experience, no matter what. Both going to lives and boxing. As a result of that, I've added "road work" to my training menu. I was getting tired after just two rounds, so I asked "What can I do to improve my stamina?" and was told "All you can do is run". The distance is about 5km, I think. I do that once every three days. The next day my muscles are sooo sore. Even that is lessening little by little, but still. There's boxercising for girls, too. You should try it.

Badmouthing people. As a human being I can't recommend that. It's easy to do when the person you're talking about isn't around. Complaining or whatever. But that kind of person can't say anything to the other person's face. I think the people around you will also like the ability to speak directly to the person in question more. I say things straight out, too. I think for humans having things said behind one's back is the most disagreeable. The people around me are all guys who say things straight out, so I've never had a bad experience because of that. But my friends have had times when they've been troubled about stuff like "This and that was said behind my back". I've talked over things with those friends. I don't think it would be strange for people who have things said about them to be stressed.
T/N: ...he'd never been to a non-Johnny's concert before. Is this the norm for Johnny's idols? If it is, it explains so much.

Date: 2006-10-05 05:43 pm (UTC)I would hope that JE members get a chance to go to lives of other bands. The atmosphere in certain groups are amazing and the total opposite of what they present.
Thanks for the translation ^_^

Date: 2006-10-25 06:22 am (UTC)thanks so much for the translation, i've been really wanting to know what his recommend/not recommends were (and yes ueda, most concerts are about the music more than the showiness...plz call me when i get to japan in 4-ish years and i'll take you to many many concerts) ...though that makes me think...so that means he's never been to a gackt concert even though he idolises the guy? ...for shame, gackt's an amazing concert producer...
