Right so, I've realised that I'm ridiculously late to commenting on this, except I'm never on these days and when I am it's about me catching up on things I've missed, from like, two months ago. Like for example, this fic.
So. whoa. This fic like killed me to finish it. I don't think I've ever done as much research as I have for any fic as I have for this one. did that even make sense? :S but that's probably because this is like, my first fic that involves superstar footballers' kidlets as centre piece of the fic. And I know none of them except that Gonzalez has 4 boys and a little girl (I only know Jorge and that's about it. SO, which Gonzalez were you talking about?).
This little miss Zaida. I think you perfected her character to the dot, if she chooses to become a footballer in the future. And a rising star during her teenage years. Teenagers, never know what to do with them, and in a sense, David Villa kinda was that kind of parent in this story. But he was so much more than just that, especially when Zaida broke her ankle (?). HE was so supportive but as a loyal supporter in the background. Takes one to know one.
Truly an amazing story (after I've taken a moment to breath...). Unbelievably touching, especially when it's nothing overly dramatic and is all very subtle too! I loved it. I love both Zaida and David in this story. (biased, I suppose)
