good news: I found my missing snippet - despite having Very Clear memories of writing it down by hand, it was in Google Docs. ahahaha. ^^;

bad news: instead of working on it or translating or doing something else useful, I am curled up in a ball with Cramp of Doom.

Why yes, yes I do know exactly what I'm inviting on my own head. (wintersjuly, I'm looking at you. staring, really.
