...ahem. Anyway. I'm especially happy to hear about Akira, since I was not at all sure about his characterization. He's just tough to pin down. And I'm happy to hear about the last line - I was secretly fond of it. ^_^

There are nebulous details floating around in my head about their life around this time period - I hope someday they'll crystallize into a longer story, but not quite yet. In the meantime, they bleed through into this little snippet. *g*
