As a matter of fact, I did find it! Apparently I liked it enough to polish it up and save it in a separate file. If you really want to read it I'll post it here!

That is exactly what I think. Like I can't do justice to it if I just start writing, or something. Or occasionally I'll have something where I know the basic idea is really good but I don't know the deatils, so despite the fact that my best fic has come from writing around a good seed without knowing the details I feel the need to wait until I do, at which point I naturally don't write it after all. Logic is not my friend. XD
