this is going to have to be a quick comment, because I have to go to class soon but:

I love this fic so, so much. I'm a huge sucker for gen-ish UST and this is superbly done. the way you captured not just DS, but the rest of the team as well; perfectly. and oh god. the last section, about Valencia? painfully accurate. it's so hard for me to deal with Mori, DV and DS all being gone, and this just reminded me why I loved them all.

anyway! I absolutely adored this.
